ABOUT

Hi, I’m Amber, a multifaceted individual weaving through the roles of motherhood, writing, guiding, and facilitating. In my world, the intersection of creativity and adventure is where magic happens. Every project I undertake is not just a task; it's a journey marked by wonder and innovative thinking. I’m honored to hold space for others and grateful for this wild life we are all living together.

I love old records, home movies, herbal tea, dancing, vision boards and believe every Saturday should start with pancakes.

It’s all happening.

OFFICIAL BIO

Amber Adams Niven, a native of the Great Smoky Mountains, cultivated her profound love for nature and hiking from a young age. At twenty-six, she embarked on a transformative journey, backpacking over 1,400 miles of the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Virginia alongside her family. This expedition sparked a passion for inspiring others to connect with the natural world, becoming the cornerstone of Amber's endeavors.

Over the years, Amber has translated her love for nature into successful product lines and established a lifestyle brand centered around adventure. She has also curated community events, fostering a sense of community among fellow outdoor enthusiasts. In 2022, Amber celebrated the release of her first book, "Discovering the Appalachian Trail: A Guide to the Trail’s Greatest Hikes," a collaborative effort with her husband.

Amber's insights have been featured in esteemed publications such as Mountain Xpress, Smoky Mountain Living magazine, and various blogs. As a creative facilitator, she adeptly combines her passion for nature with professional expertise, teaching yoga, leading outdoor clinics, and hosting workshops that stimulate exploration and inspiration.

Presently serving as a Fjällräven guide, Amber speaks and teaches at events aimed at inspiring the community to connect with the outdoors. She resides in a meticulously designed log cabin in Southern Appalachia with her partner, Joshua Niven, and their children, River and Indie Oaks.
